Editorial Policy
The New Perspective welcomes letters in an attempt to provide a forum for the diverse views of the campus. The views expressed in The New Perspective do not necessarily reflect the views of the Editorial Board or those of the Carroll University administration, alumni, faculty, staff, students, trustees, or the surrounding Waukesha community.

Letters to the Editor should be limited to 300 words, signed and dropped off at The New Perspective office, located in the Student Organization offices in the Campus Center, at least one week prior to publication.

The New Perspective reserves the right to edit letters for length, libelous content, profanity, clarity, grammar, and spelling errors. All letters become property of The New Perspective.

Advertisement Policy
Paid advertisements published in The New Perspective do not necessarily reflect the views of Carroll University or the Editorial Board.

Corrections Policy
The New Perspective strives to maintain journalistic integrity by providing accurate, fair, and complete reports and headlines. When a report is found to be wrong or misleading, a correction or clarification will be published as soon as possible.

The New Perspective home page is written and edited by students of the Carroll University and they are solely responsible for its editorial policy and content. Carroll University is not liable for debts incurred by the student organization.

Privacy Policy

The New Perspective links to other websites on the internet. Content and Privacy Policies are the responsibility of their respective owners.

Most advertisements on The New Perspective are provided by outside advertisement companies and may contain cookies. These cookies are collected by their respective companies and are not accessible to the New Perspective.

IP Addresses and Logging
The New Perspective server logs information about visitors, including IP addresses, date/time visited, referring website, length of stay, etc. This information is used for site statistics only.

Contributor Information
Limited information is supplied to The New Perspective in the event of a submittal. This includes your name and E-mail address. This information is not sold or distributed to third parties.

Posting Comments
As The New Perspective strives to serve as a constructive forum of discussion, your thoughts are valued contributions. Anyone can comment on written or multimedia content and we encourage you to do so. We reserve the right, however, to monitor, screen, or edit any postings, for the sole purpose of keeping www.thedigitalnp.com an inviting place for all readers to share ideas.

No comment should:
•    Be unoriginal.
•    Confuse identity or speak on another person’s behalf.
•    Exhibit racism or prejudicial thought (degrading conclusions based on race, age, religion, or sexual orientation).
•    Use obscene or crude language. The New Perspective is intended for users of all ages. Any language The New Perspective deems inappropriate, including creative spellings and typographic representations of inappropriate content, is not allowed.
•    Personally attack any person. Threats, name-calling, or any communication with injurious intent is not allowed. Criticize ideas, not people.
•    Contain potentially libelous or defamatory information. Avoid making unproven statements about the character or actions of any person or organization. Do not suggest any legal action be taken against any person, including both public figures and private persons.
•    Advertise or promote content (including, but not limited to, linkage to commercial enterprises) that does not contribute to the discussion.

If we determine that any posting violates the policies stated herein, we reserve the right to remove and delete postings without notice. For repeat violators, we may refuse the privilege to post or revoke the right to use the site entirely, using any technological, legal, or other means available to enforce these provisions.
