Swim team headed in the right direction

Carroll University’s men’s swim team placed 6th while the women’s swim team took 5th Dec. 3-4 at the Grinnell College Invite. Grinnell took the win for both the men’s and women’s divisions followed by Loras College in 2nd, but the young Pioneer squad showed they have a program on the rise.

The Carroll University swim teams took 14 of the 22 events in their Nov. 12 meet against Beloit College. The Lady Pioneers started the meet off on the right foot by winning the women’s 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:00.84.

Carroll University’s Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving teams opened up the second half their season with a win over their Midwest Conference, geographical and historical rival the Beloit College Buccaneers. The women swam to a 154-70 victory and the men won 118-99.
