Swimming gears up for the Midwest Conference Championships

Carroll University’s Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving teams opened up the second half their season with a win over their Midwest Conference, geographical and historical rival the Beloit College Buccaneers. The women swam to a 154-70 victory and the men won 118-99.

The Carroll University swim team finished up the first half of their season in good shape as they put together strong performances in a dual at Beloit College and an invitational at Macalester College.

While the weather is getting colder and thoughts of swimming aren’t in the forefront of most people’s minds, the Carroll University Swim team is getting ready for their upcoming season; hoping to build on the women’s fourth place finish and men’s sixth place finish at the Midwest Conference meet a year ago.
Swim shatters records at Grinnell

The Carroll women’s and momen’s swim teams completed their season with respectable showings at the MWC Championship in Grinnell, Iowa last weekend. Both the women’s and men’s teams set new record times and placed higher than in recent years.
Diving, flying lonely

At the Gene Davis Invite hosted by Lawrence University the Pioneers will be using their hidden weapon…sole diver freshman Niki Blattner. Following a third place of four schools finish at UW-Oshkosh/Ripon event and a second place of three schools finish at the Ripon/St. Norbert event, the Gene Davis Invite is the first venue in which Carroll’s own diver will be competing for the first time.
Swim teams make a splash

The women’s swim team started the season off with a slight splash. After suffering two defeats, one to Carthage College (165-58) and one to Lake Forest (151-65), in the opening tournament at Carthage, Nov. 2, the women’s team battled back.
Winter sports teams look forward to upcoming season

The fall season of Carroll College sports may be over with, but Pioneer fans have another season of sports ahead of them. This winter women’s basketball, men’s basketball, men’s swimming, women’s swimming, men’s indoor track, and women’s indoor track will keep the interest of sports fans at Carroll.
